Floor cleaning robots can also be considered “Green” because they employ the use of a microfiber pads to perform the tasks and use very little water and cleaning product to complete the floor cleaning task.

The floor cleaning robots are powered by battery and need to be recharged. The amount of run time depends on some factors that include if what function they are sued for. Dry cleaning floor cleaning robots have a longer run time and will cover about 1,000 square feet on a single charge, while wet cleaning covers about 250 square feet per charge.

  • Single Function Type: Sweeps or Cleaning
    Functions: As a dry sweeper or wet cleaner. With single function type units you will need two machines to accomplish the total cleaning of a floor, one that dry sweeps and another model that wet cleans. These types of floor cleaning robots perform well but can be costly because you need two types to clean thoroughly.
  • Combination Function Type: Sweeps & Cleaning
    Functions:  As both a dry sweeper and wet cleaner. This is the most economical way to go because one unit does it all. Most of these units have a dry sweep mode or setting and a wet cleaning mode or setting. Select the mode of cleaning you want which should dry cleaning should be completed before any wet cleaning. Once the dry sweeping is completed, simply recharge the batteries and start in the wet cleaning mode to clean the floor.
